Role and Responsibilities

  • Grow consumables sales-generating new accounts through targeted activity, cold calling, and following up leads
  • Generating/attending meetings with both customers and prospects throughout the UK
  • Achieving set and agreed sales targets
  • Updating the CRM system and prospect lists
  • Produce weekly sales activity report
  • Responding to customer enquiries made during visits and via phone/email
  • Issue sales literature and samples to customers
  • Work closely with the wider consumables team
  • Updating monthly reports in the absence of the sales manager
  • General ad hoc duties
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
  • File data and perform other routine clerical tasks as assigned and for other departments as needed.
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant processes and health & safety procedures
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 3 years sales experience
  • Industry knowledge of labelling/end user
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Sage CRM
  • Knowledge of Infor Syteline would be a benefit
  • Excellent administrative, organisation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Technical knowledge of printing hardware

Qualifications needed for the role

  • Good general education
  • Previous printing hardware knowledge
