PRISYM ID Chooses Thames Hospice as its Charity of the Year for 2016

– Supporting local charity Thames Hospice with fundraising projects –

We’re delighted to announce ‘Thames Hospice’ as our ‘Charity of the Year’ and, as a company we are committed to raising funds in 2016 for this worthy cause.  The charity provides expert nursing, medical and therapeutic care for adults in the local area and the vital monies that we raised will be used to purchase specialist beds for the patients.

The services that Thames Hospice offers are free of charge however it costs £7m to run the Hospice every year, making fundraising crucial and the support of local businesses such as PRISYM ID invaluable.  To kick-start the campaign, Thames Hospice visited our office in Wokingham and gave a very informative and uplifting presentation to the staff.

Lots of fundraising ideas were bantered around and starting in March there will be a ‘Donation Station’ that allows staff to bring in items such as furniture, electronics and clothing, which Thames Hospice will then collect and sell in their local shops.  Starting the fundraising efforts is Jon Knights, our Customer Service Administrator, who has already signed up to run the Wokingham Half Marathon and Reading Half Marathon on behalf of Thames Hospice.

Mick Daw, Chief Executive, PRISYM ID comments: “As an organisation, we are strongly committed to our local community. We’re proud to support Thames Hospice as our Charity of the Year for 2016. In previous years, we have raised nearly £5,000 for another local charity and we have a similar goal for this year. Throughout the year we will be arranging a variety of events and projects that will help support the valuable work Thames Hospice carries out within the community.”

Neil Harman, Director of Fundraising at Thames Hospice concludes: “We’re really looking forward to having PRISYM ID’s support throughout 2016 and working with them to further our work in the local community. Their enthusiasm and great ideas will all help to raise the vital funds needed to care for our patients now and in the future”.”
