PRISYM ID, a leading provider of turn-key labeling solutions for the medical device, life sciences and manufacturing industries based in Wokingham is set to achieve its 2014 fundraising target of £5,000 on behalf of local charity, Daisy’s Dream.
Daisy’s Dream is a professional service which responds to the needs of children and families affected by life threatening illness or bereavement. Working across Berkshire and surrounding areas, Daisy’s Dream offers face to face support for children and families as well as a range of group events, training and advice for professionals who work with children in Berkshire schools and other settings.
PRISYM ID began working towards its target through a combination of internal and external events throughout 2014. Back in May, the team organised a May Day BBQ and following this PRISYM ID’s Linda Darby, Company Adminstrator took part in the Thames Path Challenge to raise funds. Jon Knights, Customer Service Adminstrator, managed to raise over £250 by completing both the Royal Berkshire 10k and The Dinton Pastures 10k, whilst CEO, Mick Daw ambitiously took part in the Blenheim Palace Triathlon raising an amazing £800 for the local charity.
Mick Daw, CEO of PRISYM ID commented: “Over the Christmas period, the team have put lots of effort in to support the good work Daisy’s Dream carries out within our local Wokingham area. We sold Christmas cards and Christmas puddings in the office as well as at local events. On 30th November, some of our volunteers got into the Christmas spirit and supported the cause by helping out at the Wokingham Christmas Carnival. In addition, the team has supported great internal events throughout the season, such as a ‘Make the World Better with a Sweater’ day, from which all proceeds went towards Daisy’s Dream and thereby helped support our local community.”
Gill Stevens, Director of Daisy’s Dream comments: “We’re thrilled with all the commitment and work PRISYM ID have provided for our charity. They’ve raised an amazing amount without which we wouldn’t be able to maintain the service that we offer families in our community, free of charge. “The team’s commitment and enthusiasm is boundless. The fundraising they have done this Christmas both in the office and at local events means we can continue providing the right support and information within the community.”
